This section lists organisations that recognise or approve the International Academy for Professional Development, Centre for Coaching, and Centre for Stress Management training programmes.

BRITISH PSYCHOLOGICAL SOCIETY

The British Psychological Society is the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK. It has national responsibility for the development, promotion and application of psychology for the public good, and promotes the efficiency and usefulness of its members by maintaining a high standard of professional education and knowledge. The Centre’s courses are: Approved by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR COACHING PSYCHOLOGY (ISCP) 

The ISCP is an international professional membership body established to further the discipline and profession of coaching psychology. The Centre has achieved Approved Centre Status with the Society therefore our courses are recognised by the Society.

INSTITUTE OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT (ILM)

The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) is the UK’s largest management body, combining industry-leading qualifications and specialist member services. The ILM exists to support, develop and inform managers at every stage of their careers. The Centre for Coaching, International Academy for Professional Development is an ILM Recognised Provider. As a recognised provider, we run a wide range of approved coaching and management development programmes which are suitable for Continuing Professional Development.

ROYAL SOCIETY OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The Stephen Palmer Partnership is a registered RIPH centre and is approved to offer RIPH qualifications programmes in the UK. The Society runs conferences, publishes a journal and newsletter.  

INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT SPECIALISTS (IMS)

The IMS Objectives are: To encourage management excellence and specialist expertise; To help members achieve their personal aspirations, fulfil their career ambitions and develop their innate potential; To support lifelong learning and encourage education in management and specialist areas; To give professional recognition to the knowledge and skills of managers and specialists. Membership Applicants will be assessed on their Education, Training, Knowledge, Skill and Experience (K.S.E.) and responsibility. Due consideration will be given to those who are qualified only by practical experience. There are many people who, through no fault of their own, have not had the opportunity to gain academic qualifications during their careers. These people may also apply for membership based on their own individual merits, practical experience and position. The IMS recognises the Certificate in Professional Development programmes run by the Centre and International Academy (a Recognised Training Provider).

THE BRITISH NATIONAL REGISTER OF ADVANCED HYPNOTHERAPISTS (NRAH)

The Centre for Stress Management and the Stephen Palmer Partnership Ltd are affiliated to the NRAH. The NRAH holds a Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists. The NRAH is an accrediting member of the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO). The NRAH recognises the courses run by the Centre as being suitable for the CPD of their members.
