Professor
Stephen Palmer PhD FRSA
Professor Stephen Palmer
PhD, is a renowned stress expert
and award winning psychologist.
His presentations are highly
motivational and educational,
challenging and inspiring, making
people think seriously about how
they can manage and influence
their own stress levels and
improve their performance.
He is a Professor at two
universities, a Chartered
Psychologist, coach, trainer and counsellor. He
is a Founder Director of the
Centre for Stress Management,
Centre for Coaching and Stephen
Palmer Partnership Ltd. He has
also worked with and trained
numerous blue-chip companies
including BP, Safeway,
GlaxoWelcome, Ford Visteon, Police
& Health Authorities and the
BBC. He has worked with Radox and
Yahoo on explaining research
outcomes to the media.
Managing stress and coaching
people on how to deal with it and
enhance their performance, has
been Stephen’s passion for many
years. His presentations reflect
this vast experience and
enthusiasm and incorporate
detailed research. Author and
editor of over 35 books on a range
of topics including coaching and
stress management.
Having co-hosted a BBC1 TV
series, The Stress Test, Stephen’s
role as one of the ‘Stress
Professors’ has put him in high

Dr Simon
Timson PhD
Dr Simon Timson is an
experienced coach and
psychologist, and enjoyed a
successful career in international
sport. His varied career combining
being an international athlete, a
sports coach and an accredited
sport psychologist puts him in a
prime position to inspire people
to achieve long-lasting change of
both team and individual
performance. He has just returned
from the 2004 Olympic Holding Camp
in Cyprus where he supported Team
GB athletes and coaches.
His presentations are
motivational and anecdotal. He
will challenge and inspire his
audience to facilitate better
performance. He uses his sports
coaching and psychology experience
to help businesses achieve high
performance.
Coaching psychology has been
Simon’s passion throughout his
career. He has coached and managed
a number of highly successful
sporting academies, the British
Bob-Skeleton Team, as well as
supporting Olympic athletes.
Simon appeared as a
team coach in the BBC1 series, The
Stress Test, where he helped to
improve Chef’s, Shane Ramsey’s,
team performance. He is also
currently involved with UK
Athletics, The English Institute
of Sport , The British Olympic
Association, as well as blue-chip
companies including such as BP.
